The Wildlife Center of Virginia has just announced its Fall 2007 Open House schedule. The Center offers open houses just twice a year – in the spring and fall. It’s a wonderful opportunity to visit the Center, see the Center’s medical facilities, and meet some of the education animals – including owls, eagles, possums, tortoises, and snakes – that live at the Center.
The open houses are free, but you must reserve your spot in advance, and the spots fill quickly. (Very quickly!) Here are the upcoming dates:·
- Sunday, August 26;
- Sunday, September 9;
- Sunday, September 23;
- Sunday, September 30; and
- Sunday, October 14
There are three separate tours each day – at 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
This is a rare opportunity to see the inner workings of the nation’s premier wildlife hospital, as well as meet some of the wildlife that serve as the Center’s education staff and ambassadors. It’s well worth the pretty drive to Waynesboro!
