Tashi Delek ~ Happy New Year!
On February 19, Tibetans began a week-long celebration of their New Year, called Losar. This week we’ll get in on the celebration … with Tibetan-inspired Yoga in our classes.
Celebrating a new year as we slip into springtime makes so much good sense. Resolutions and new beginnings are far easier to keep when the sunshine grows longer. The new life of spring is coming soon. Energy around us — and within us — increases.
Losar means “new year” or “fresh year.” I like the idea of making a year “fresh.” How nice to freshen up with Yoga.
The year of the Female Wood Sheep ushers in a year of peace, calm, and nurturing energy (or “yin” energy) … the perfect inspiration for our Yoga.
So, yes … let’s have class tonight … I’ve missed you!
