Peaceful Hands Yoga’s Morning Class & Open House to benefit the Wildlife Center of Virginia is this Saturday, December 10 and I have a wonderful surprise for you this year!
Maggie, VIP (Very Important Peregrine)
This year, we’ll be joined by some wild friends from the Wildlife Center, including Maggie. You may know Maggie as the young Wildlife Center Peregrine who is also the star of the new children’s book Maggie, The One-Eyed Peregrine Falcon.
If you’ve never seen a Peregrine close up … seriously, they’re pretty amazing.
ALL-LEVELS YOGA CLASS
Class at 9:30 a.m.
HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Peaceful Hands Yoga Studio
228 Warren Street in Orange, Virginia
Come to one! Come to both!
Lots of treats – sweet and savory – and hot cider. (And, yes, Dr. B is bringing one of his delicious cheesecakes for us!)
Door Prizes! The 3rd Annual Yoga Book Giveaway!
Did I mention treats? (And, cheesecake?)
And, yes, animals from the Wildlife Center!
I’m so excited that we’ll be joined by Maggie and a couple other special Wildlife Center ambassadors. (I hope Oscar and Wilson are joining Maggie … and, of course, we’ll have Yoga poses in class to celebrate all three!)
Amanda and Lacy, Wildlife Center humans, will be joining us, too.
Amanda and Maggie
They’ll be there, along with Randy, to answer your questions about the animals the Center cares for and, I know, they join me in thanking you for your kind generosity to the Wildlife Center throughout the year.
Please bring a gift for the Wildlife Center if you can.
1) Make a cash/check donation to the Wildlife Center of Virginia or, 2) bring a bag filled with helpful supplies for the Center. Please choose items from this list:
Paper Towels w Tissues (no lotion) w Glad/Hefty Trash Bags (30 gallon & yard sized) w Ziplock Bags w Safety Glasses/Goggles w Mixed Nuts (unsalted, raw, no peanuts) w Canned or Dry Cat or Dog Food (any size, any brand) w Bird Seed / Sunflower Seeds (for bird feeders) w Basic office supplies: 20 lb. white paper, pens, padded mailing envelopes, dry erase markers.
The Wildlife Center of Virginia depends entirely on the generosity of individuals like us to support their life-saving work. They have cared for more than 2,000 wild animals this year … and new patients come in every single day.
I hope you’ll stop by. This is also my opportunity to thank you for being part of the Peaceful Hands family this year. And, bring a friend — this is a great opportunity to introduce your friends to our Yoga community.
I thank you for all your kindnesses.
