Yoga On The Cemetery Lawn

Join us for a peaceful outdoor Yoga practice in one of the most serene and perfect spots in Madison County.

~ Yoga On The Cemetery Lawn ~

Friday, September 26, 5:30PM
Bethsaida United Methodist Church
1014 Ridgeview Road, Brightwood

OK, not in the cemetery itself, but in a beautiful, sacred space between the church and cemetery grounds.

Pastor Katie Frooman and her congregation have invited us to unroll our mats together for a sweet hour of Yoga.

There’s no fee, but please bring a small gift of a pantry item or nonperishable food that will be donated to a local food bank.

That’s all. You. Food Bank Item. Yoga.

To answer questions you might have:

  • We are practicing outside, but the ground is flat and beautifully tended.
  • There is a bathroom available.
  • I will have extra mats with me.
  • If it rains there will be no class.

You don’t need to sign up, but if you let me know you’re coming, I can send you directions, a reminder on the day of class, and a message in case things go sideways or rain shuts us down.

I hope you will join us. Practicing in nature takes your yoga practice to a whole new level of sweetness.

➡️ YogaPalooza “Sweet 16” … one class left! Join us for the sunshiny “Life’s A Beach” class on Wednesday, 9/3 as we close the curtain on YogaPalooza until next summer.

Celebrate YogaPalooza’s “Sweet 16” Anniversary at Peaceful Hands!

YogaPalooza is a summer celebration of Yoga. Themed classes. Every class is  different. New poses. Playful practices.

Plus, one perky Saturday morning class and one pure relaxation Sunday afternoon class.

2025 Update

Peaceful Hands Yoga offers in-person classes in our Orange, Virginia studio. Plus, we continue to offer our virtual Ether Studio for those who also want to practice at home. (There are 160+ online audio classes in all shapes and sizes … and more on the way. Yay!)

There are all sorts of practices with different focuses … longer 60-minute practices, short “quickies,” just 5 or 10 minutes. There are practices just for your back … for your hips … for your shoulders … practices for stress relief … quieting practices for nighttime, perky practices for waking up.

I have always considered our Peaceful Hands Yoga community a family and I miss seeing you.

But, I’m inspired by those of you who have joined me in the Ether Studio, including many of you who are new to Peaceful Hands. Welcome!

Yoga is all about flexibility. But, it’s about more than just stretching our bodies. It’s about staying flexible in our minds and hearts … and ready to embrace the changes that we face in our days with openness and a warm spirit.

The Peaceful Hands Ether Studio is my way for us to stay together, even while we’re apart.

For less than the cost of a single drop-in class at most Yoga studios, you can have an entire month of 24-7 access to more than 40 Yoga practices (and more on the way!) that I’ve created for you in all shapes and sizes … all in easy-streaming audio.
